The Rise of Art Deco
2025 marks 100 years of Art Deco, the design movement that reshaped architecture, interiors, and decorative arts with its bold geometry, luxurious materials, and confident elegance. Formally introduced at the Exposition Internationale des Arts Décoratifs et Industriels Modernes in Paris in 1925, Art Deco marked a sharp turn from the organic curves of Art Nouveau to bold lines, symmetry and geometry.

Trizo21, a Belgian architectural lighting manufacturer founded in 2001 by Bruno Van Meenen, embodies this modern spirit with minimalist precision. While not explicitly referencing Art Deco, Trizo21’s lighting designs capture the era’s essence through clarity of form, material quality, and geometry. For almost 25 years, Trizo21 has been at the forefront of architectural lighting, blending craftsmanship, innovation, the use of premium materials, and design excellence.
Pierre Daems x Trizo21: Sculpting Light with Art Deco Elegance
Pierre Daems is a Belgian designer renowned for his high-end bespoke furniture creations. His design philosophy, described as “warm minimalism,”
seeks a harmonious balance between straight lines and curves, textures and finishes, resulting in timeless and tactile designs.
Growing up amidst Brussels’ Art Deco architecture, he developed a deep appreciation for craftsmanship and materiality.
This influence is evident in his work, which often features elements reminiscent of the Art Deco style.
Born from the union of Pierre Daems’ refined design vision and Trizo21’s innovative craftsmanship, the Henry collection emerged.
